Ali Ro Hibiscus Lace Shift Dress

This time of year is the absolute perfect time to go out and buy sundresses, skirts, sandals and shorts. That’s why I waited until a week before a big event I have next weekend for the big “almost end of season” sales to start looking for dresses. I went through 5-6 six stores before finally landing at Sak’s Off the Fifth. Lo and behold, there was a fabulous sign out front that said, “Take an Additional 50% off Clearance Items!” I was stoked.

So, after perusing some clothes that I would usually only write about, covet, touch and wish I could afford I picked up a few dresses and went in to the dressing room. I’m sure the girls in the dressing room thought I was nuts. I finally settled on a bright pink Ali Ro dress that was originally priced at $249 (the price at Sak’s) but the red tag said $103. So, holy cow! $56 with tax. How fabulous! Ali Ro is my new favorite person. Love, love love.

But, if you can’t make it to the Sak’s Off  Fifth where I found this dress…head over to Bluefly.com and take a look at any of their Ali Ro selections. My favorite is this Hibiscus Sateen and Battenburg Lace Shift Dress. I know it seems like I love shift dresses (the moo moo look) but who doesn’t want to be comfortable?  Adding a great pattern and pleats is a great way to get around that shift style that usually needs some type of accessory (like a belt or scarf) to make it work for some body types.
