Inexpensive Ways To Attract Visitors To Your Website

Wouldn’t it be great if once we finished all the work of creating a website, people flocked there of their own accord? I wish it worked that way, but alas, we have to get them to visit.

Here are some quick tips on increasing your traffic:

  • Make sure your web URL is on every, and I mean EVERY source of information you send out. (Your URL is the address people type to get to your website, like www.cocacola.com.) That includes your business card, email signature, letterhead, footer of your invoices, direct mail materials, brochures, etc. Gather up all the materials you mail, email and send out in other ways and check to see you haven’t missed anything.
  •  When posting comments online, write your website like this: http://www.yourwebsite.com, not just www.yourwebsite.com. When you include the http stuff it makes your URL a link so people can easily just click and visit you, rather than having to retype or cut and paste.
  • Don’t have a flash website, have an .html one. You can ask your web programmers to see what kind you have. Flash sites have lots of cool graphics and movement but they are notoriously hard for search engines to find. If you have a flash, start thinking about changing it over to .html in future so that people who are searching for your type of product or service can more easily find you.
  • Use Google Analytics. It’s a fantastic FREE service Google offers that lets you track and measure your site traffic in amazing detail. I would be lost without it. You can get it at http://www.google.com/analytics/.  Once you start driving more traffic to your site you’ll want to see how you’re doing. Google Analytics will tell you.
  • Consider authoring articles and posting them to online article aggregators like http://www.amazines.com and http://www.ezinearticles.com. You can draft a piece of around 450 words about your area of expertise and provide a little bio of you and link to your site.  It creates more avenues for people to find you.
  • Give people a reason to go to your website. Offer something free for them to claim and then put that offer on your business card and email signature. I created a 5 part e-course on how to make reporters sit up, say “Wow!” and cover your story. What can you offer that makes use of your expertise?

Implement these tips and watch your web traffic climb upwards.

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Blog Flipping

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Blog Flipping

Blog flipping or site flipping has made a lot of people a lot of money in the last couple of years. If you’re looking for a way to make money online, and even quit your day job, flipping blogs is definitely a good choice.

Here are a few reasons why:

1. Opportunity

Niche marketers love to own and promote blogs to make money, but many of them have no time or no desire to do the building. They’d rather purchase a ready-made site and begin promoting it.

2. Supply And Demand

The demand far exceeds the supply. There are really only two sites on the web that site-buyers can visit to purchase blogs. And only one of them is really set up for professional sellers and buyers.

The buyers frequent these sites often because they have no where else to go. And, there are many more buyers than sellers. So the odds are seriously in your favor as a blog flipper.

3. Set Your Own Income

No matter if you’re just looking to supplement your existing income or you’re ready to quit your job and work at home full time, blog flipping can be the answer. Once you get into it and hit your groove, you can crank out blogs as often as you like.

You can do all of the work yourself and build and sell one or two per day, or you can outsource some of the work and build and sell numerous blogs each day. It’s totally up to you.

4. Your Customers Come To You

Without a doubt, attracting traffic is one of hardest thing to do for anyone who sells online. Thousands and thousands of dollars and man hours are spent each year on simply getting people to visit web sites.

But, as a blog flipper, your customers come looking for you. It truly is a matter of “build it and they will come.”

5. Repeat Sales

One thing I found from blog flipping that I didn’t expect was all the repeat business I get. Many of my auction customers have come back and asked me to build more blogs for them.

Not only that, but 98% of my buyers use my hosting and pay me monthly for it. There are other things you can charge for, too, post-sale. Extra articles are a big seller, for instance.

Often, your customers will come to you and ask for things after the sale and they’re usually willing to pay.

Marriage Tips

Marriage Tips

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We have been together for fifteen years, now. He and I got married when we were only twenty and twenty-one years old. I am now thirty-one and he’s thirty-two. We’re working on eleven blissful years of marriage.

It has been an amazing experience to love the same person for nearly half of my life! We started dating when I was fifteen, and he was sixteen. When I tell that story, other women think that I’m lucky. They’re intrigued that when I speak about my husband that I do so with a twinkle in my eye.

And everyone always wonders how we’ve managed to stay so deeply and wonderfully in love with one another. The answer is simple: we still do the things we did when we first started dating one another!

My husband still calls me on the phone while I am at work just to see how my day is going. Even though he works from home, he still gets up each morning and drives me thirty miles, just so I can ride in the H.O.V. (high occupancy vehicle) lane and not have to deal with traffic. That means he has to take the same route coming to get me in the evenings.

When he drops me off in the mornings, when I get to my desk, my message waiting light is usually flashing alerting me that someone has left a message. As you can imagine, at least one of them is from my husband saying that he loves me and hopes I have a great day! He calls the night before when I’m not in the same room with him, or as I’m coming up the elevator to get to my office.

So, it should come as no surprise to people why I love my husband so much. It’s because he also loves me!

Marriage is full of compromises and making things fun. It takes an effort from both parties to make it successful.

Here are a few things that will keep your marriage relationship as hot as it was in the beginning.

Make time for one another. Have at least one day a week set aside for you and your spouse, and don’t let anything take that time away from the two of you.

Communicate with your wife or husband. Talking has opened up so many new doors of opportunity in our relationship. A “Good morning.” goes a long way. Good communication is key to making any relationship last, so talk…and then talk some more!

Compromise is also another key to a successful marriage. There is a lot of give and take. Just make sure the giving and taking is equally distributed, and you are sure to have a happy bond with your mate.
Lastly, have fun! Run around the house and act wild and crazy, especially if you have children. Laughing really is good medicine! Stop taking yourselves and your spouses so seriously! Your marriage will keep the fire it had in those earlier years, if you do!

Use Keyword Tracker – Spy on Your Competition

There is always going to be competition out there for certain keywords no matter what type of internet marketing you use. In today’s internet marketing arena, using a keyword tracker, spying on your competition can be easy. There are hundreds of marketing tools and products that can help you do that, but my favorite is PPC Web Spy. Using this tool you can quickly and easily pinpoint which keywords are going to bring you in the most quality clicks. These clicks directly relate to sales. You can generate your very own list of keywords based on the keyword your competition uses as well.

Using a keyword tracker, spying on the competition can help you increase your sales quickly and become a stronger competitor in the vast internet-marketing arena. Using methods such as these to help boost your traffic has never been easier.

Using a Pay Per Click advertising method like Google Adwords, it is much too easy to accidentally waste a lot of advertising money on clicks that will not become sales. All of this is directly affected by the keywords you are using. High quality keywords directly affect your bottom line. This is why it is so important to find the keywords that people are searching for, that may want your product.

For someone who has not done any internet marketing before, it can be scary. You can easily lose money or make bad decisions financially if you are not on top of things and know what you are doing. Being able to avoid these mistakes can make a big impact on how much money you can make. With the use of tools that help find keywords for you, you can bypass all of the trial and error that leads to lost money.

How to Harness the Power of Google AdSense For Search

Are you wondering if there’s a different kind of Google AdSense ad that may increase your clickthrough rate and revenue? Or, do you simply want to offer your readers something different than the same old usual text ad placements because you’re worried the ads are turning your readers off? There is an alternative for you, and it’s called Google AdSense for Search.

AdSense for Search is a unique feature that ads a Google search box to your site. This search box allows your visitors to search Google right from your site. Search results are returned to your site, and whenever your visitor clicks on one of the search results, you get paid. This improves your visitors’ online experience on your site, and helps you to better understand their needs.

You can customize the search results pages to fit your site’s theme, which will increase the usage of your search box, as well as your clickthrough rate. Your AdSense reports will show the top queries in the search feature on your site, and can also show you the top 25 queries. You can use this information to determine the most desired topics on your site, or to see what your site may be missing. After all, if your visitors are frequently searching for something that’s not on your site, you may need to consider adding that very thing to increase traffic and improve retention!

This type of Google AdSense ad may not be something you see frequently out on the web, but it’s catching on in popularity as webmasters realize it can add another valuable income stream to their site and allow them to collect important information on their visitors’ preferences. It may be just the thing your site needs, so give it a try and see for yourself just how powerful of a tool it can be!
