There are so many gadgets on the market today to make our kitchens more functional. I wonder what my grandmother would say if she could see all the time saving items we have and all the products to make our kitchens work for us.
Two of my favorite kitchen organizing ideas are:
1. Appliances like my large and small mixers, steamer and waffle iron I store in an armoire just off my kitchen as there isn’t enough room in my kitchen cupboards for them. I keep the beaters in the basket with my small mixer. For the large mixer cup hooks screwed into the underside of the shelf keep the infrequently used beaters organized and out of the way until I need them. (I got tired of having to take out the ones I rarely use from the bowl where I did have them stored when I wanted to use the mixer).
2. I have a 6 inch wide cupboard where I keep my waxed paper, foil and zip lock bags. To increase the space I added a removable shelf so the bags fit underneath the shelf and the long rolls fit on top. If there was room in the kitchen a wall mount dispenser that holds the paper, foil and paper towels would be nice.
Do you have organizing ideas you use in your kitchen to utilize the space to the maximum advantage? I know when I get excited when I find something that works for me to create space.
